9/28/25 I visited Brand Farms. I was pleasantly surprised to see cows, ducks, pumpkins and a flower field. I also met three lovely ladies. They are were so kind to share their story.
Really fun place to go see a working farm and pick apple. The weekend hayride out to the apples is fun too. Lots of things for kids to do. This year there are bouncy things and apple cannons.
Great weekend activity for anyone. The activities are super fun and prices seem reasonable. The sunflower and flower field offered a great walk with a ton of butterflies to watch and enjoy. The paint-ball shooting is super fun and the pumpkin patch is beautiful. The bouncy "castles" are fun for the kids. Hayride and food seems reasonable in price, pumpkins and eggs are super cheap compared to grocery store prices. The only thing I wish would be different would be the option of walking through the apple orchard without paying for an apple bag for $20 or $35, which seemed a little unreasonable to me. I would have been happy to pay $3 or so to walk through it with a wristband indicating that I am not allowed to take apples. That kind of took away some fun but didn't impact the whole day. Overall, this farm is a great weekend adventure/thing to do.
Our second visit to the Brand Family Farm was just as amazing as the first! We had an absolute blast playing in the corn, climbing the hay tower, and taking a relaxing hayride through the farm. The kids loved seeing the chickens, bouncing on the giant pumpkin, and we captured some incredible family photos that mom will treasure forever. It was the perfect fall day filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of fresh air. We can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend for a fun family outing! 🍂
We came a few weeks early from being fully open but the owner was so friendly! He stopped what he was doing to talk and give me the address to his stand and sunflower field. What a great guy and thank you. Each spot was amazing! I can't wait to come back when fully open to see everything at the farm. (bonus was the sunflower field ❤️ he sent us to )
This place was a huge letdown. It really upset us to see one of their farm cats... it had a double eye infection and could hardly open it's eyes which were weeping and full of pus. I understand that it's a barn cat, but even barn cats dont deserve to suffer like that. With so many staff, how could no one notice the poor cat unable to open it's eyes?? The "store" isn't really accessible with a stroller or wagon- the isles are too narrow. The line for the hayride is huge and extends into the store making it even more crowded and nearly impossible to get a stroller in. You can't say excuse me to ask people in line to let you through because there's no where for them to move aside to. They should have a staff member direct the line to wrap around the hay ride turn around instead of into the store. Between the overly narrow isles and the line clogging the place up we could only get through one isle so we didn't buy anything except a squash because we couldn't get there to look to what they had. Half the apple bins in the store were pretty much empty. We didn't want to pay premium prices for the few banged up apples that were left. We were disappointed there were no activities or anything to discover. They had the tiny tented store area, a few picnic tables, a food truck that sold cider type treats (which was good, the highlight of our visit) and a photo op on some hay bales with pumpkins and flowers. All this in a very small crowded area. They have a whole farm it didn't make sense to crowd everything into such a tiny area like that. We didn't take the hayride because we didn't want to spend 30$ for a bag of apples. Reading the reviews on here I find out there's apparently activities in/ near the orchard? How would we know that when we were there? There's no signs telling visitors that. No staff members telling anyone where to go or what the farm has to offer. The staff was the opposite of friendly, avoiding eye contact and just hurrying by with out engaging at all. Not even a hello. We won't be back, we'll drive an hour next year to the orchard we used to go to before we moved
We had an amazing time apple picking at Brand Farms! The activities were really nicely done, the apples were amazing, the hayride to the orchard was very interesting with the driver explaining the current farm activities, and everyone was so nice. We went on a late Sunday morning and it was the perfect amount of busy. We’ll definitely be back next year!
We went for the first time today and loved it! It’s a quick and easy drive from Rosemount. Beautiful scenery and affordable family fun. Their food products look great too!

Among other variety of apples, I was happy to find the Zestar again. Just perfect for my preference of slightly tart, but with good sweetness. We also got honey and fresh eggs there. The staff is very helpful and informative

Playing amongst the sunflower rows, bees, ladybugs, and stinkbugs was great fun for my kids. Met the owner, super sweet guy. Bought apple cinnamon donuts and pickled asparagus, they were so delicious. Very nice place to visit.
