Connolly Ranch Natural Beef traces its roots back to 1870 when Patrick and Margaret Connolly, Irish immigrants, established a homestead in Corral Hollow Canyon. For over 150 years, the ranch has been family-owned, now managed by Mark Connolly, his wife Celeste, and their daughters, Katie and Bridget. The Connolly family has consistently focused on sustainability and responsible land management.

Practices

At the heart of Connolly Ranch's practices is a commitment to raising cattle naturally. Their Black Angus herd is 100% grass-fed and raised without hormones, antibiotics, or implants. The cattle graze on open pastures, reflecting the ranch’s dedication to responsible animal husbandry and conservation.

The ranch is firmly rooted in sustainability principles, aiming to preserve resources and open spaces for generations to come. This focus extends to minimizing the environmental impact typically associated with industrial production processes.

Offerings

Connolly Ranch delivers locally-raised, all grass-fed, and all-natural beef—highlighting their bulk mixed quarter-side orders. This method includes a variety of cuts totaling approximately one-quarter of a steer, vacuum-sealed, labeled, and frozen for freshness.

Buying Experience

While the 2026 Beef Sales are closed, Connolly Ranch operates a clear ordering process via their online form. Customers need to place a non-refundable deposit to reserve their orders. The beef is sold based on the actual weight, and pick-up is arranged at a designated location.

Connolly Ranch is located in the scenic hills south of Livermore and Tracy, where the Black Angus cattle are born and raised. This locale contributes to the quality and natural upbringing of their herd.
