Deer Run Farm has become our go-to farm to purchase pullets. We've purchased 14 chickens from them over the past year and always had a terrific experience. The birds have so much personality, are healthy, and lay incredible eggs. Allison has been very helpful in answering questions and providing guidance when needed. One of our Delaware pullets was not laying consistently and seemed to retreat from her flock-mates. I was concerned and reached out to Allison. She responded quickly with helpful tips and information. She also checked back a few days later to make sure things were going well. This kind of service shows how much she and her family care about the chickens they raise and sell. We would highly recommend DRF to anyone interested in raising heritage chickens.

The lady that gave us our chickens was very extremely sweet. She let us know that if we have any questions that we can feel free to contact her. Very courteous. She was very sweet in handling these little chicken nuggets and they come in a box with a bird's nest pad underneath them. I am currently absolutely loving on these babies on this 3-hour drive back to Western Pennsylvania thank you dear run farm for being such a good home owned business. Wish we lived closer.

All ten of our Welsummer chicks arrived alive and well, despite the USPS completely losing track of them for 24 hours. The chicks were packaged very well, with a straw mat for their safety and comfort, and electrolyte gel to help sustain them. Our new Wellsummer pullets are still in 30 day quarantine but are all doing fine. They are healthy, active, and inquisitive in their new coop and run. The Wellsummer Roo in the coop near theirs is excited. The long drive was worth it to get these young hens.
