Practices

Elmhurst Farm prioritizes sustainable and humane farming practices. Their animals are raised without hormones, antibiotics, or non-GMO feed. Cows are fed brewers grain and locally grown hay 24/7, while pigs enjoy outdoor pens with access to feed, water, and space to roam. Eggs are collected from hens on specific days, with availability clearly noted for buyers.

Offerings

The farm sells a range of products, including humanely raised beef, pork, and eggs, as well as locally produced honey and firewood. Eggs are available Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday during spring and summer, and only on Saturdays in winter. Visiting the Farm

Elmhurst Farm welcomes visitors year-round. During spring and summer, the farm is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In fall and winter, hours adjust to 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Winter egg sales occur only on Saturdays during these hours. The farm encourages visitors to meet the Axberg family and learn about their commitment to sustainable agriculture.
