Golden Steer Choice Meats

I want to give a big shout out to Berta! I came in last night shortly before they were due to close, and she took such excellent care of my needs I was so happy! Great service and excellent products!

Some of the best beef and chicken cuts in town. Sure, you can get some of the cuts in grocery stores, but there is a significant difference in size and quality, in my opinion. They have a few side products worthy of mentioning; spicy smoked bacon, mild and spicy dried meats, and a few cheeses, all good.

This is my go-to spot for carnivorous needs! They have all kinds of meats in a large amazing display case. I get my steaks, sausage, and thick-cut bacon here all the time now. They also have some interesting wines and sauces. My favorite things here are actually the beef bones I pick up for my dog. They will cut large bones into smaller pieces to order. See attached pic - buy them by the pound!

The Golden Steer is amazing! It has knowledgeable and welcoming staff who are some of the nicest people on the planet. The food selection is fantastic and I have not seen better quality anywhere. Our son was singing a Beatles song and the next thing I know the owner is teaching him how to make sausages, really neat moment.

Great meat. Products are sourced and prepared well. Great group of folks. My favorite.

I received great customer service from Matt and his team, and the sirloin burgers were awesome. There's a reason this place has been in business for so long.

Major disappointment. Paid $112 for 11+ pounds of beef cheeks and was only able to salvage 4+ pounds of usable meat after trimming. Owner later responds with ‘ satisfaction guarantee’ response to post. A little late guys. How about you get it right the first time.

Bought 5 lbs of brisket. Should have inspected it before they wrapped it up. Got it home to find it was virtually all fat. I got screwed. I ran out to Fred Meyer and bought two pieces totaling the 5 lbs. which were brisket as it should have been from TGS. New ownership? Sad… Jerry Jones

I wish I could give them 10/5 stars if I could. Quality is superb. I don't go to butcher store often, but when I do, this is always my choice. There hasn't been a single item we purchased from them that wasn't outstanding and absolutely delicious. Not only that, they care. They made accommodation for my special order knowing it's for my old 18 years old cat. The kindness and the good-heartedness they showed has definitely made me loyal customer for life from this point on. Thank you.
