History and Mission

Founded in 1996 by Tom and Constance Broz, Live Earth Farm is a 65-acre certified organic farm in Watsonville, CA. The farm's mission is deeply rooted in sustainable practices and biodiversity. By fostering a deeper connection with the land, food, and community, Live Earth Farm has established itself as a cornerstone of local agriculture.

Practices

Live Earth Farm employs regenerative and sustainable farming practices to maintain biodiversity and environmental health. Their dedication to organic farming ensures that they grow over 100 varieties of certified organic produce while minimizing ecological impact.

Offerings

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Live Earth Farm's community-supported agriculture (CSA) program is the heart of their operation. This program serves over 800 households, offering fully customizable boxes of fresh produce. Members have the flexibility to choose their preferred items, adjust quantities, and skip weeks as needed, providing a tailored farm-fresh experience throughout the year.

U-Pick and Farm Stand

From May 16th through late October, the farm opens its gates for U-Pick days on weekends. Visitors can meander through fields, hand-picking sun-ripened berries, tomatoes, peppers, and more. The Farm Stand, available year-round, offers a wide array of seasonal produce.

Events

To engage with the community, Live Earth Farm hosts a variety of events such as farm-to-table dinners, cooking classes, and harvest festivals, which reflect their commitment to educating and connecting people with the joys of sustainable farming.
